New York Observer Names The TASC Group To Its PR Power 50 List
The TASC Group has been named to the New York Observer’s “PR Power 50” list, a list of the most influential and powerful PR firms in the industry. The New York City-based public relations, communications and public affairs firm that represents a wide range of clients in the nonprofit advocacy and corporate social responsibility space was also ranked #3 in the Observer’s "Top Nonprofit/Public Affairs Firms” category. Kaitlin Stewart Hollander, a senior account executive at The TASC Group, was also named to the Observer's “15 Rising Stars in the PR Industry" list.
“We are extremely proud to be recognized by the Observer as one of the top, most influential PR firms in our industry,” said Larry Kopp, President of The TASC Group. “It’s really a tribute to our extraordinarily brave and inspiring clients that awards and recognitions of this type are given to our firm. It is a privilege for our team to work on client issues and causes that make such a positive impact on the lives of so many people.”
“These firms are changing the definition of PR itself, broadening the channels and platforms they influence for clients,” writes the Observer. “They’re bridging storytelling and strategy, messaging and creativity, and all in potent new ways. They’re helping clients navigate treacherous political waters, a fraught business climate, and an environment where brands are now expected to take stands on social issues. This year’s honorees aren’t just the best in the business. They’re the ones who have shone during these exciting and transformative times.”
In 2018, TASC was privileged to win the following eleven various industry awards for its work on behalf of its clients: Five PRSA Big Apple Awards, four PRNews’ Nonprofit Awards, one Shorty Social Good Silver Award and one PR Daily Corporate Social Responsibility Award.
The TASC Group has worked with some of the most high-profile and inspiring clients in the country across industries and on a wide range of issues and progressive causes. TASC has represented Trayvon Martin’s family, Charlottesville’s Susan Bro and the Heather Heyer Foundation, Maria Contreras-Sweet in her efforts to buy The Weinstein Company, and Park51 (more publicly known as the Ground Zero Mosque). The nonprofit PR firm’s clients work on campaigns and issues such as the Women’s March, human trafficking, environmental sustainability, ocean research and exploration, arts and documentary filmmaking, promoting diversity in politics and corporate industries, union organizing, public education, and many more.
