Barilla, Ocean Spray and Foxtel Get Nutrition Data from Edamam
Edamam, a provider of nutrition data services to the food, health and wellness industries, has been selected by Barilla, Ocean Spray and Foxtel to power nutrition for recipes on their digital properties. Edamam’s unique technology produces detailed nutrient and diet data for each recipe on its partner sites.
To deliver the service, Edamam is leveraging its Nutrition Analysis API , which produces real-time, highly accurate nutrition data of any recipe or ingredient list, utilizing Edamam’s unique, food domain specific, natural language understanding technology. The analyzed data contains information about the content of all macro and micro nutrients. It also labels recipes according to their appropriateness for all allergens and popular diets, such as vegan, paleo, keto, gluten-free and low-sugar.
