TP-Link, a leading global provider of networking and smart home products, today introduced the Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug-In Dimmer (KP405) and announced the availability of the Kasa Smart WiFi Outdoor Plug (KP401). The pair offers a refreshed set of outdoor smart home solutions that cater to users’ various outdoor needs from adjusting outdoor lighting to providing long Wi-Fi range.

Users can say goodbye to dead spots in their backyard with the Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug-In Dimmer (KP405). It connects directly with existing 2.4 GHz in-home wireless network, no additional hub or device required to bring Wi-Fi outdoors up to 300 ft. It has an IP64 rating and features a weather-resistant cover that ensures protection against dust intrusion and splashes of water. With the KP405, users can adjust the brightness of their connected outdoor lights to set the perfect ambiance and control schedules from sunrise to sunset to automatically save energy.

Equipped with an Away Mode, users can have a peace of mind as they head out for a vacation, by programming the KP405 to automatically turn their connected devices on and off, like lights, to discourage potential intruders. The KP405 is easy to use and can be controlled from anywhere via the Kasa Smart app. Additionally, the KP405 responds to simple voice commands from Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

The Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug (single port) (KP401) connects to existing Wi-Fi up to 300 ft with a built-in power amplifier, so users can continue to enjoy their favorite smart home devices outdoors. It has an IP64 rating to ensure protection against rain and dust. With the KP401, users can easily turn the outlet on and off, set schedules and control the smart plug from anywhere using the Kasa Smart app.

Using a simple voice command, Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant users can control their outdoor lights to turn on or off from the comfort of their couch. Additionally, the KP401’s Away Mode programs plugged-in devices on and off automatically, so users never have to worry about leaving their home unoccupied.
