Rover.com Adds the San Francisco SPCA as a Sit-A-Dog, Save-A-Life Partner
“We are excited to be joining Rover's Sit-A-Dog, Save-A-Life program and believe this is a partnership that will benefit both of us,” said Jennifer Lu, Marketing and Communications Manager at the San Francisco SPCA. “Both of our businesses believe that all animals deserve forever homes, and by working together we will continue to advocate for animal welfare and enhancing the human-animal bond.”
Rover and the San Francisco SPCA are leaders in the pet arena, both dedicated to providing animals with the best care possible from adoptions to in-home care. In addition to the San Francisco SPCA joining the Sit-A-Dog, Save-A-Life program, Rover is also a sponsor of their 145th Anniversary celebration this weekend, October 4-5, 2013. Rover will be onsite at the street fair carnival on Saturday. Carnival attendees will be meeting local Rover sitters and can even sign-up for a time to leave their dog for a bit while they enjoy the carnival.
“Our commitment to giving back to animal shelters has been fundamental to our company and a huge priority since day one,” said Susan Koehler, CMO of Rover. “By partnering with the San Francisco SPCA we have expanded the ways that our sitters can help animals in need and are excited for our San Francisco communities to work together.”
Rover is committed to not only fostering a strong online community to match dog owners with trusted dog sitters across the country, but also ensuring that our community is giving back. Rover's Sit-A-Dog, Save-A-Life program currently includes 36 non-profit partners, in 19 states across the U.S., and to-date has raised over $33,700 for animals in need.
Rover.com is the leading online community that connects dog owners with trusted dog sitters, and is where dogs beg to stay. We believe that all dogs deserve safe, loving homes even when their owners are away, and that's why we created Rover. Our services provide an alternative to traditional caged boarding facilities, or family, friends and neighbors who are often asked to sit in a pinch. Rover currently operates nationwide, with 150,000 members enrolled, more than 25,000 approved sitters in over 4,300 cities across the U.S., and approximately 1,000 sitter options in each of the top 20 markets. Additionally, we believe all dogs deserve a happy and loving home and that's why we're committed to supporting animal shelters and companion animal programs across the nation. We also make it easy for sitters to donate a portion of their proceeds to local shelters through our Sit-a-Dog, Save-a-Life program, saving the lives of dogs everywhere.
