Ochsner Health System Boosts Employee Satisfaction, Saves More Than $600K with GuideSpark Video Solution
After receiving feedback from employees that the onboarding process was too complex and overwhelming, Ochsner looked to GuideSpark to help communicate important information to new hires, everything from benefits to where to park on the first day. The company now uses GuideSpark's solution to educate, empower and engage employees on myriad topics.
Like many GuideSpark customers, Ochsner was looking for a way to take complicated HR information and make it easily understandable for employees, and accessible on any device. This effort was part of the larger initiative by the company's HR team to leverage technology to better prepare new hires for work at Ochsner. With GuideSpark and other complimentary technologies, the company was able to:
- Cut clinical to floor readiness time from seven to ten days to three to five days
- Increase employee participation in online e-learning and training requirements
- Eliminate two-day, in-person orientations, saving approximately $600,000 to $1M annually
- Increase employee satisfaction with the first day experience – with 98 percent of new hires agreeing the job matched what they expected
